Version 3.1.0 adds Single Page mode, page fit options, unified Reading Mode settings and improved theme controls. It improves in-document search and document identification, saves files more safely with rescue copies after a failed save, and fixes issues with search, gestures, backups, rotation and right-to-left reading.

The supplied 3.1.0 build requires Android 6.0 (API 23) or newer.

Use an official channel. F-Droid and IzzyOnDroid both list the app under the package name com.gitlab.mudlej.MjPdfReader, and the source code is on GitLab.

Only if your device uses an x86_64 processor. The file on the download page contains x86_64 native libraries only. Most phones use ARM processors, so phone users should install from F-Droid or IzzyOnDroid.

Yes. Dark mode darkens the PDF page as well as the interface. Open the reader menu and tap Dark Mode.

Yes. Select text, choose a highlight color from the bar and add notes. Your notes and highlights can be listed from the reader menu.

Text Mode reflows a PDF so you can read it like an e-book, with adjustable reading settings.

Yes. The reader menu includes Add signature, and the app supports filling PDF forms.

Yes. In-document search lets you move through results, and 3.1.0 improved it. You can also search your whole library from the home screen.

Yes. Incognito is available from the reader menu.

There are no ads. The project documentation notes that Exodus Privacy reports a tracker in the app, and the APK bundles the ACRA crash-reporting library, so this site does not claim zero tracking. See the privacy page for permissions.

The APK declares the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission, which supports browsing folders and finding PDFs on your device.
